Merit Kahn – CEO & President
Merit Kahn, CSP, is the author of Myth Shift: Challenging The Truths That Sabotage Success and creator of The Sales Mindset Mastery program, co-host of The Smarter Sales Show podcast featured on The Sales Experts Channel… and… writer, producer and star of the one-woman inspirational comedy show, “Book of Merit”.
Prior to joining SELLect Sales as CEO and President, Merit was the Senior VP of Sales for a nationwide sales training organization and the youngest General Sales Manager for a start-up radio station in the country’s third-largest market.
She is certified in Emotional Intelligence and earned the highest designation in The National Speakers Association, one held by less than 12% of professional speakers worldwide, The Certified Speaking Professional, CSP.
In her various roles as a business owner, trainer, coach, consultant, and keynote speaker, she has worked with CEOs, business owners, entrepreneurs, sales management teams, and professionals across a wide variety of industries including financial services, manufacturing, engineering, professional services, technology, and even pest control.
Whether she is on stage with thousands or working with a small executive team, her presentation style is a blend of content, connection & comedy.
Carey Balzer – Co-Founder & Head of Licensing
Carey Balzer has a unique history with the SELLect Sales business. In 2007, Carey hired SELLect Sales and became our first client. He’s been a pivotal part of the business after that initial step, helping to grow the business from its infancy to its current state.
In 2019, Carey took the concept of licensing SELLect’s Methodology and made it come to life, allowing additional opportunities for the company to perform.
With more than 35 years of business experience, Carey brings enterprise level strategy and is able to apply it to start-ups and large businesses alike. Carey also works as a partner at MARION Integrated Marketing.
When he’s not working at SELLect or MARION, he’s probably keeping busy (unless there’s a Manchester United match on). Lately he’s gotten into property development and residential real estate in the Austin market. He also enjoys live music, pretending to be a stand-up comedian, and barbecue.
Trish Lee – Director of Operations
Trish Lee joined SELLect Sales in 2011, working directly with the founder, Amy Hardin. When Trish started her own company in 2009, her background was in construction at the time, project management specifically. During her time in construction, and also as a business owner herself, she was able to develop a unique set of skills that allow her to develop outside-the-box solutions that work for small and micro-businesses and help them to be competitive with larger organizations.
In 2020, Trish joined the sales training team using the newly launched SELLect Selling Method with her clientele of small business owners and non-sales professionals. After working with SELLect for nine years, she felt this was the best sales training program to provide to her client base who had no previous sales experience.
When Trish is not running her own business, or directing operations for SELLect Sales, she spends her time on her 180-acre farm with her husband and daughter. Together, they raise rabbits, goats, poultry, and horses. After growing up in the big city, she has decided the country life is where it’s at. Working from her office that overlooks the farm, she has the best of both worlds.
Austin Grammon – SELLect Sales Integrator
Austin Grammon is the President and Co-Founder of SpeakerFlow, a software and coaching company that helps experts master the business aspects of thought leadership.
An experienced sales and operations expert, Austin’s goal is to share how business owners can optimize their backend processes and technology and, in doing so, sell more, serve better, and save time.
When not at his desk or a speaking industry event, you can find Austin in Utah, exploring nature, starting a new woodworking project, or spending time with his wife and daughter.
